Yorkshire job creation growth reaches two-and-a-half year high
According to the Lloyds Bank Regional PMI report, job creation in Yorkshire and the Humber has reached its fastest pace in two-and-a-half years.
Expansion in business activity in the region was the second fastest out of 12 monitored regions in the UK, falling just behind Wales.
Scoring a PMI of 55.9 in September, Yorkshire and the Humber scored a strong increase in business activity.
Findings showed an increase in employment, a rise in orders for new businesses that was faster than the UK average, growing customer bases, higher levels of demand and the majority of Yorkshire firms were shown to be maintaining a positive outlook.
The Lloyds Bank Regional PMI is an economic health-check of the UKE regions based on responses from manufacturers and services businesses.
