We’ve been asked to manage the search for a Software Tester to join the test functions of one of our most innovative clients. You’ll be joining an established team of around 10, mainly Manual Testers but as the function evolves any exposure to automation testing would be beneficial but not essential.

What will you be doing?

As a Software Tester within the QA team, you’ll test both new and established products, work with clients during UAT and develop full testing plans. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality of both products and services at release.

You’ll be carrying out extensive testing across multiple devices and platforms in a mainly manual environment but the test strategy for the next two years does include incorporating more automation to the process.

What technical experience do you need?

• Experience with test driven (TDD) or behaviour driven development (BDD) practices
• Experience in defining test strategy/approach, test cases
• Experience developing testing artefacts, such as test plans, test cases and mind maps
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Working closely with internal stakeholders including architects, developers, designers and product managers, customer services

Candidates who hold Agile, ISEB or ISTQB Software Test certification would be at an advantage but these are not essential.
