Affecto is recruiting for a QA Tester to join the engineering team for a Venture Capital company who are making waves in their industry. If the prospect of working in a tech start-up across diverse challenges excites you, then keep reading!

This is a hybrid-working role, with at least 3 days a week in the Sheffield office.

What will you be doing?

• Work collaboratively with the development team to identify bugs, develop fixes, and write regression tests to prevent bugs reoccurring.

• Develop, maintain and improve an automated test suite comprising unit tests, integration tests and  functional tests. 

• Perform manual testing when automated tests are unavailable to ensure the quality of the  codebase. 

• Establish and track quality assurance metrics to determine the quality of the company codebase.

What skills do you need?

• Experience of automated testing, including the ability to understand the requirements of a software feature from the user’s  perspective, and the technical skills to ensure the functionality works through testing.

• Somebody who relishes the challenge of working in a tech start-up – you’ll work with  diverse technologies and be comfortable testing an existing codebase. 

• A resilient and enthusiastic person, comfortable working independently as well as part  of a team. You’ll be able to plan and manage well to deliver quality work on time.

• You will be an effective team player who actively develops and supports team members.

• Experience using Pytest for unit and integration testing, and selenium for front end functional testing
