Job Summary

Affecto is proud to be working alongside a global company headquartered in Sheffield. We are recruiting a Manager of Technical Support responsible for overseeing the successful operation of the company’s 24/7 support team.

What will you be doing?

  • Deliver regular updates to senior leadership on the status of key accounts

  • Liaise with the product and engineering teams to ensure software meets existing and prospective customer needs

  • Ensure 24/7 coverage is maintained by overseeing shift patterns and on-call rotas

  • Manage a global team of technical support 

  • Act as an escalation point, working closely with the Customer Success Managers to resolve urgent customer issues

  • Undertake regular 1:1's & performance reviews with the team, identifying any gaps in knowledge and ensuring the correct training is provided


What skills do you need?


  • Experience of leading geographically distributed or remote support teams

  • Well established leadership & communication skills

  • Experience of Cloud technologies

  • Excellent incident management skills

  • Ability to communicate the impact of issues effectively and confidently

  • Experience with CRM tools, e.g. Salesforce

  • An analytical approach to decision making & problem solving

  • Confident in hiring and onboarding staff remotely

  • Experience with Hadoop or Cloud Technologies a plus

  • Confident with Salesforce reporting desirable
