Infrastructure Solutions Architect

Affecto are delighted to partner with one of Sheffield’s exciting software businesses who are looking to appoint a Solutions Architect with a focus on Infrastructure to lead their Service Design Team.
The Service Design Team are part of the wider UK Managed Services Team. Split across 3 offices, Managed Services is a critical function within the business, responsible for ensuring seamless integration of their products with customer platforms. This is a senior role with 1 direct report and will involve working closely with customers both remotely and on site.
What do they do?
The company is a leading financial services business, with operations both in the UK and abroad. Their innovative solutions provide powerful insights and efficiencies, enabling their clients to make informed decisions to both increase profitability and enhance their customer experience.
What will you do?
Act as technical lead on product demonstrations and client focused evaluation session
Provide technical guidance on RFI / RFP projects
Coordinate and lead a small team
Continually improve skills, expand business knowledge and suggest new ways of working.
Present technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders
Provide ad-hoc analysis and mid project reports.
Work with various other departments to align managed services and service design with the wider business architecture
Who are we looking for?
A strong background in solutions architecture and delivery, ideally with some exposure within the financial services sector.
Highly competent in implementation and integration of software applications
Good working knowledge of software development technologies and interface integration
Excellent understanding of third-party product licenses – especially Oracle and Microsoft
Solid grasp of data and cyber security legislation and standards
What skills do you need?
Degree educated in a relevant technology disciple, or equivalent
Strong understanding and relevant experience of Solutions Architecture
AWS Cloud experience
Some experience with scripting would be advantageous, (Unix / Shell / Bash etc.)
Cisco Networking / Routing / Firewall experience
Good grasp of deployment and integration technologies as well as virtualisation tools would be advantageous.
