Affecto are thrilled to be working with a fantastic company who specialise in innovative solutions for transport problems, and creating cost reducing software. We are looking for an experienced Head of Technical Services to join their fun and friendly team. You will be responsible for leading cross functional teams to deliver the SaaS products and solutions, you will drive results with agility and leadership and serve as an inspirational team leader.


What will you be doing?

  • Ensure the SaaS products and solutions are delivered on time, in budget and to standard

  • Ensure the successful delivery of the programme of work within the context of the companies financial and operational drivers, reporting on progress, risks and issues

  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to define and execute strategies that ensure substantial long-term impact

  • Support, mentor and lead the management team through periods of continued growth whilst forging strong relationships

  • Provide continuous feedback, conduct performance reviews, coach, and mentor the leaderships teams to manage their teams effectively

  • Oversee the hiring and coordinate the training of the entire team to meet strategic goals

  • Strive for continuous improvement whilst keeping up to date with industry trends and innovations 

  • Measure and improve efficient and effectiveness of processes, setting the standards for executions at scale

  • Contribute towards the companies outside regulatory requirements and adopted compliance standards 


What experience and skills do you need

  • In depth understanding of software engineering approaches with a proven track record and experience of delivering technical programmes at scale in both product and project environments

  • 5+ years’ experience as a people manager

  • Experienced in effective project planning, dependency identification and management; risk and issue management;

  • Strong influential communicator  

  • Experience of delivering enterprise DevOps strategies, which encompass techniques such Continuous Deployment and PaaS

  • Agile approach to change management

  • Experience with activity/risk mapping and mitigation across technical, operational, people and third-party concerns.

  • Results orientated

  • Demonstrable and practical experience of delivering transformational change to business processes and systems

  • Critical and creative thinker
