We’re looking for an experienced Director of Technology to lead the technical direction of one of our most exciting clients. Affecto is proud to partner with this ambitious, South Yorkshire based technology and analytics company to appoint this integral position as they embark and an incredibly exciting journey over the next 3 years.

The Director of Technology is a newly created role within the organisation and you’ll be primarily tasked with delivering the innovative products and services which has seen the business become a key player in their specialist marketplace.

You’ll be granted autonomy to lead a diverse team of Software Engineers, Testers, Network Engineers and Systems Engineers.

Whilst this is not a ‘hands on’ role, you’ll be expected to have a sound understanding of the full SDLC, the MS tech stack, web development, software deployment into complex IT estates, as well as Cloud technologies, IT hardware and infrastructure.

In order to be considered, you’ll also need:

To be passionate about innovation & technology
To have demonstrable experience in leading cross-functional technical teams and projects
A track record of success in the delivery of complex software products and services to clients
Extensive experience in a variety of software development environments, particularly Agile
A background in analytics would be beneficial but not essential
To be degree qualified with a Bachelors or Master degree in computer science, software engineering or mathematical, statistical discipline.
